BWSA Travel
The Baldwin Whitehall Soccer Association provides traveling soccer for boy and girls starting at U-10 (Under 10) up to U-19. The traveling program is a graduation from our in house program. Teams are made up from our kids, and we play kids from other programs in varying divisions. The divisions are based on talent of the team.
Practice:
Generally, practices are two days per week, ranging from 1 to 2 hours per session. The younger ages practices about 1 hour, while the sessions for older ages last longer.
Games:
Games are played on Sundays, the starting times range from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. At the younger ages games last 1 hour and can be up to 90 minutes for the older ages. Most of the games will be played within 30 minutes of Baldwin Whitehall. The older teams have had to travel as far as Erie, PA. The normal schedule is 8 games in spring and fall.
Teams:
Start at U10 for boys and girls, and are formed as determined by the number of players who regsiter and attend tryout sessions.
Tryouts:
Tryouts are held when necessary usually in June of each year. While every attempt is made to place all players on a team, cuts can occur. Teams are made up at the tryouts, and these teams play for the Fall and Spring season. If you register for travel soccer, you will be notified of the tryout dates. The travel coordinator normally runs the tryouts and selects the teams.
